In Case of Emergency, Break Glass

“In case of emergency, break glass” refers to an action or and item designed when a critical situation occurs. A circumstance where normal actions are blocked. It is a way to access an elevated level or increase help, even if temporary. It brings resolve to the issue with swift action since the standard action is unavailable or not enough to ensure resolution.

Cosmic Butterfly

I faithfully believe we need to send loving prayers, helpful words, thoughts, and actions to this devastating situation. I can not imagine the pain of everyone involved. If you are an empath, your energy and emotional well-being are being affected, not only because of the lives lost, but because the world is in an emotional tailspin.

Soul Purpose Training

Soul Purpose Training

I’ve been reading a lot about “spirituality”. I meditate and think on it on a daily basis. Searching for the balance of the vibration for my own personal alignment. Looking for answers that may or not appear now, but I have trust in the universe to know the answers will when I need them to appear. Spirituality is not only a religion, doctrine or dogma. It is the belief in knowing there is a God force greater than us, a connection to our human self and our energetic force.

My husband, Jeff, showed me a daily thought from the 24 Hour A Day Book. To me, this was synchronicity of my search for alignment. Here is what it said, “Your life has been given to you mainly for the purpose of training your soul. We often choose the way that is best for the body, not what best suits our soul. God wants you to choose what suits the soul as well a s the body. Accept this belief and a wonderful molding of character is the result. Reject it and God’s purpose for your life is frustrated, and your spiritual progress is delayed. Your soul is being trained by the good you choose. Thus, the purpose of your life is being accomplished.”

On the streaming Connecting to Spirit podcast channel tonight June 10th, I’ll be speaking on spirituality. The podcast and this blog go hand in hand. Be sure to tune in or if you miss it, watch or listen to the replay.

So, let’s dive deeper. I want you to think about what you give to your body, that also suits the soul. Our body needs nourishment to survive. Depending on what we feed our body will be the outcome of how we feel. Let’s examine how to nourish the soul. What do you read, watch on tv and social media, what do you think about? Do these things nourish your soul cause undue anxiety?

Our body needs rest, so we sleep. Sleeping re-energizes our body and helps to refresh it. The soul, also, needs rest. Rest can be meditation, going for walks, praying, turning off the static around you like your phone.

We clothe ourselves for warmth and protection from the outside elements. Do you consider how to protect your energetic soul? Setting up boundaries, being mindful of the energy around you.

We have family and friends for love and support. Do you offer love and support to yourself, for your soul well-being? Do you advocate for your beliefs in a peaceful loving way?

These are only a few things not only does your body require but your soul as well.

I’ve been reading a book “The Awakened Mind” by Dr Lisa Miller. In her book she writes about a study she conducted in the 90’s to compare the effects that spirituality has over depression. Having faith to realize whatever comes your way, you believe there is a greater power who has a plan. Sometimes we know the plan deep within our hearts, but we ignore it, making it frustrating and more difficult. She spoke about how the receptors of the brain would light up differently for different people depending on the conversation and if they had a belief system. No always, based on religion but a belief in a higher power.

I often wonder why I don’t follow through with things I know are best for me. I know I should but for whatever reason I ignore it. Then I am faced with the truth of had I just done it things would be a lot easier on me. I must enjoy placing speed bumps in my life instead of rolling smoothly through the path. Why is doubt so much greater than faith at times but at other times faith is greater than doubt? We have been taught a habit of eating breakfast, lunch and dinner. Even to the specific times to eat. But do you think I can have that same obedience to exercising? The answer is no. Why is this habit a block? It’s me, no one else but me.

l was listening to a podcast, the other day about Kundali. There are people who have great experiences with it but others who do not. It is that deep shadow work to face and come to peace and resolution within our own being. The host spoke about the chakras, but he came to realize the heart chakra was the only one that could truly be blocked and that it mandated the outcomes of the other chakras. Our emotion of love rules the crown, 3rd eye and throat chakra, but it also controls the sacral, solar plexus and root chakra. I had to process this a bit. I also came to the realization that love is the center point of what I allow into my energy (crown) how I visualize (3rd eye) and how I speak to myself and others (throat). Interesting right? My heart also keeps me balanced and grounded deepening the way I feel about my surroundings. (root) The sacral is all about emotions and pleasure, again ruled by the heart and the Solar Plexus is linked to confidence, personal power and self-esteem. Yes, they are all governed by the effects of the heart chakra. Our heart chakra is mighty. This seems like a great starting place to comfort the body as well as the soul. The center of it all is love.

In Matthew, it speaks about loving your neighbor as yourself. It is part of the greatest commandment which is “Love the Lord God with all your heart, and with all your soul and all your mind.” This creates sincere affection with you, from you and to you. What does your body and soul require? LOVE. Rejecting this makes life difficult. Getting over the fear of vulnerability takes time and mindfulness. The act of sharing and receiving creates sincere love. A spiritual soul experience.

How to start? One thing to put into practice is changing your words and thoughts to include the word love. Instead of saying I hate Mondays, you could say I love the start of a new week. Or I hate getting gas in my car to I love that I have a tank of gas to go anywhere I want. Being aware of what you say and think places the right intentions into the world around you. Practice sending love to someone who is difficult. Instead of being uncomfortable with a compliment simply say thank you. Start to form your breakfast, lunch and dinner habit into your love habit. This is the Law of Attraction. We receive what we put out into the world. Believe in the spiritual, energetic path you are on. When you do, you will begin to see that you truly love the life you live, and you are living a life you love.

I want to leave you with this quote by Rachael Marie Martin

Your day doesn’t have to be perfect

To have meaning

Showing up matters

Trying matters

Loving matters

Perfection does not matter

you matter.

I would love to hear your thoughts about this blog.

Blessing to you

The Healing Wisdom of the Turtle

The Healing Wisdom of the Turtle

We can learn a lot by watching the actions of animals. In readings, I often speak about turtle energy. The message the turtle brings is that no matter where you are in life, you have options. We all have spirit animals that we are drawn to, that we connect with and that show us a path of spiritual enlightenment.Let’s look deeper into what the turtle represents. The turtle has a protective shell around it. Without this shell, the turtle is vulnerable to the dangers of the world and would surely die. Sometimes, the turtle hides, rests and reflects in the confines of this safe space. Other times, it peaks its head and legs out moving slowly about the earth and if it is a sea turtle it can move swiftly through the water. But no matter where it goes or what it does, it travels with its home. This home is its safe space that is surrounded with the armor of protection of the shell. The turtle symbolizes longevity (they can live from 10 to 150 years) which is why they are also considered to be symbols of wisdom and endurance - the slow and steady journey of life. Let’s reflect on the story of the tortoise and the hare. The turtle won the race because it stayed focused and grounded. While the hare; seeing what it thought was the obvious outcome lost focus. It did other things less important including taking a nap. Upon waking noticed the tortoise was almost at the finish line and ultimately crossed before the hare. The lesson; stay focused and keep moving forward keeping the finish line in sight.Because of their longevity, they are said to have the knowledge of life’s cycles and the concept of time. They are patient and steady moving and persevere through the physical and emotional challenges. Crawling so closely to the ground they have a sense of being rooted to the earth, naturally grounded. They adapt to the environment that surrounds them. Their shell, their home is a protective armor for safety and security. They are considered to be where the secrets of the universe travel. They are the connection between the earthly and spiritual realm. It is thought that because they move slowly for years with their focus on finding the enlightened path. This natural ability is seen as being a healer and acquiring spiritual awareness.Having a turtle cross your path means “life is happening in the perfect timing of the universe” also called divine timing. When we move too quickly, we tend to be unfocused. We miss life’s lessons and the wisdom the universe is offering.I tell you all of this to explain the rest of the story. I have been reading a book by Brianne Weist that came wrapped in plastic. The title of the book “When you’re ready. This is How You Heal.” Having been in marketing years ago, there is a genius thought behind wrapping the book. It makes the book special, with all the answers tucked inside a wrapped book. It gives you the option to leave it wrapped until you are ready. Then when you pick it up, you are making the decision to start. Just by opening the wrap. It’s like tying your shoes and standing up before you decide to start your day.I am digesting every nugget of information written on these pages. Some do not pertain to me at this time, but I have experienced the things she speaks of. Had I had this book a few years ago, things may have been a little easier. But on the other side of that thought, I may not have been ready to hear the solutions. I needed to move slowly through these things to gain the wisdom, I know I have deep within me. After digesting only a few chapters, I ordered several copies to have on hand for those going through things that a conversation with someone may not be understood. Words, when reading help you to have a deeper conversation with yourself. The chapter entitled “If You Ever Feel Lost, Please Remember that You can Make a Home Within Your Own Heart” This is the chapter that reminded me of the turtle medicine. We carry our heart with us everywhere we go. Being connected to your heart can help you to understand the wisdom within. She said to find the courage to create your own life “Your chest is where you find peace. Your heart is where you find love. Your mind is where you find inspiration. It is no one’s job to make you feel safe. Until you are at home in your heart, peace in the world will be difficult to acquire.” That’s a real thinker. Until you are at home in your heart. Home in your heart. Peace in the world will be difficult. Peace in the world. Home in your heart equals peace in your world. So, let’s look at home in your heart. Home is a way of being. It’s a constant walk of realism, combined with solutions of moving forward. It’s not a place with four walls and a roof that you go or an idea, “there’s no place like home”. It is a way of being. It is showing up for yourself in a loving understanding way. The way you seek to resolve the past. Realizing nothing is perfect. Believing you will always be ok because we learn to adapt to situations, we figure out solutions. Resolving and committing to keep moving forward, even if it is hard to let go. Realizing you can do the hard things. Reminding yourself that you will return to peace even if you are uncomfortable now. Comfort will come. Peace will come. Slow and steady wins the race. It’s time to wake up to the realization that when you are alive within your home, seek the safe space you have created for yourself because you are the source of your existence. You are the source of wisdom from past experiences, good and bad. You can do the hard stuff. Bring yourself back home and help others find direction in the act of being home. Healing comes. Wisdom comes. Patience comes. Slow and steady wins the race. When I started this blog, I spoke about the movement of the turtle. Sometimes within the shell, sometimes moving slowly, sometimes diving deep into the water. No matter where you are, you are always home in your protective shell. You are gaining wisdom, persistence and longevity.Just think, what can learn from watching the turtle. We begin to understand that sometimes slow and steady wins the race. Our ultimate goal to live the life we love and love the life we live.Peace and blessingsStaceyTo watch this episode, join our group (1) Connecting to Spirit With Stacey | Facebook and click on https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1GGGQds1sV/

Pain is Part of Life

Pain is Part of Life

“Nobody’s life is entirely free of pain and sorrow. Isn’t it a question to live with them rather than trying to avoid them?” - The Power of Now by Eckhart TolleAs I read and absorb “The Power of Now” the words of each chapter are powerful and make perfect sense as I read them. But then I think of how to incorporate them in my daily life. It seems difficult to completely achieve being in the now at all times. These daily habits seem to be like regiment of exercises of the mind. I believe in this world that is filled with humans, we rise and fall in a continuous loop. Pain is part of life but so is joy and growth. We attract what we give fuel to by focusing our minds and actions to a common goal. To be happy and life our lives to the fullest. But our minds go where they go without consciously steering it in that direction. Spiritual enlightenment emphasizes staying present. To be in the moment of what is happening a this particular time. To recognize what the universe is handing to me right now. To learn what needs to be learned. Not tomorrow or yesterday. We are talking right now.Eckhart Tolle said, “The greatest part of human pain is unnecessary.” I had to think about that for a minute. I wonder, do he mean the all-consuming thoughts that haunt our minds? Triggers that access to flash backs of a past trauma. The unconscious mind, is that the unnecessary part? I often sit and reflect on the beautiful memories and events in my life and wonder why they do not sprinkle glistening sparks of joy in my head more often. I wonder why, instead, things that trigger me float in? Why is my brain trained to go into this direction? This, to me, is the unnecessary part.I break in down to that fact that some of my most haunting pain is caused by the loss of joyful memories I once experienced. Grief is one of these triggers. I am homesick for what once was. The second part of the beginning quote said, “Isn’t it a question to live with them (pain and sorrow) rather than try to avoid them?Mother’s Day just passed. A time to celebrate motherhood. I lament that it is also a reminder of the mothers who are no longer on this earth. The mothers who have children in the spirit world and the mothers who, for some reason were unable to become mothers. The twisting and turning of emotions that is meant to celebrate mothers can also bring pain and sorrow. Which did you experience? Maybe it was a combination of celebration and sorrow.Did you know that Mother’s Day was started when Ann Jarvis’ mother passed away May 9, 1905. She wanted to create a group to celebrate her mother. In 1914 President Woodrow Wilson signed a bill to recognize her idea as a national holiday. Before that, Mother’s Day was created as an anti-war movement. Julia Ward Howe aimed to promote a Mother’s Peace Day. This was an early attempt for mothers to find peace in the chaos of war. Jarvis regretted at her death that this day had become so commercialized. But before her passing she honored her mother by sending 500 white carnations to a church. She compared the shape of the flower to the life cycle of a mother’s love. She stated that it is not about the cards, or gifts, it is about love. The positive contributions, motherhood and maternal bonds create in a family. It is a day to honor both the physical and spiritual nurturing of mothers, Divine mothers. Those who were created as spiritual guides instilling faith and values. To foster a connection to something greater that we have, and unconditional love that enables us to nurture those around us.Whether we are mothers or daughters, we may live with the pain and sorrow of no longer identifying as such. But instead of avoiding it, we live with it as a reminder. Good or bad, we live through it, one day at a time, because there is no avoiding it.I tell you this with confidence, death is not final. We will reunite with our mothers, or children who have passed from our earthly family. And I truly believe for mothers in wait, unable to have children; you will truly be blessed by being a mother figure to a motherless child in need of your nurturing spirit, no matter their age. There are two quotes I want to instill in your heart.“Women without children are also the best of mothers, often with the patience, interest and saving grace that the constant relationship with a child cannot always sustain.”“There is something about losing a mother that is permanent and inexpressive - a wound that will never heal. Mothers hold their children’s hands for a while, but their hearts forever. You were my home, Mother, I had no home but you.”As we live, we also grieve as time passes. We walk amongst beautiful souls who touch our lives and leave a lasting impression on our hearts. The goal is to live in the memories instead of avoiding them. To find the grace and joy of things we once had and continue to have in our heart. To share with others. Laugh, cry, reflect, allow the memories to live on within you knowing a beautiful soul touched your heart. This is the power of now. Honor them in the now. Talk to them and about them now. They are only a whisper away.Because of this, I pray you live the life you love and love the life you live.BlessingsStaceyTo join our community, go to (1) Connecting to Spirit With Stacey | FacebookTo watch this episode https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1LuEtVmjzR/

What to Know About Your Chakras

What to Know About Your Chakras

If you are on a spiritual path or looking to find peace and balance in your life, you have probably been told to be sure your chakras are aligned. Well, what does that mean? What are chakras and how do I know if they are aligned?

There are 7 main chakras in the human body that play a role in our emotional and spiritual health. Each chakra has its own unique meaning. The chakras spin in the direction that energy is believed to flow. Some believe they should rotate clockwise while others believe counter clockwise. I believe they spin in the direction the individual needs as the energy is channeled specifically to their needs. Sometimes these chakras are blocked, or they can be overactive. In this blog, I will explain the chakras, the color and location, how to tell if they are in balance, stone energy you can use for meditation and a suggestion for a weekly review.

The Root Chakra is located at the base of your spine and is said to be your connection to the world. This is the chakra that keeps you grounded and stable. This chakra color is red, and the short mantra is “I am here, I am present”. When your root chakra is in balance you will feel safe, centered, grounded and happy to be alive. When it is blocked you may feel fearful, anxious, unsure, and even have financial instability. If it is overactive, you feel greedy, aggressive, power hungry or materialistic. Stones to use in meditation for alignment are fire agate which promotes spiritual growth, gives you courage and balance. Red jasper is also a great stone to use as it promotes grounding, protection and vitality. Hematite is protective, stabilizing, it clears the root chakra and give you a feeling of security.

Moving up to the 2nd Chakra known as the Sacral Chakra presenting an orange light. It is located a few inches below your navel. This chakra is our connection to our emotions and the emotions of others. It relates to our sexuality, pleasure and creativity. This is the chakra that is governs what we feel, what we want. (to feel, to want) When it is in balance you feel passion, have a healthy libido, you are creative, optimistic and open to receive. Just the opposite is true if it is blocked and your libido would be low, there is a fear of intimacy, you feel isolated, and creativity is a thing of the past. Having an overactive Sacral would result in being over-emotional, manipulative, and fixated on sex. Popular stones to use while meditating are Citrine which brings in abundance, positivity and creativity. Carnelian for courage, motivation and self-esteem. And moonstone to enhance your intuition, offer emotional balance and fosters psychic abilities.

The 3rd Chakra is known as the Solar Plexus and is located just above the navel appearing in a yellow ray of light. It represents our personal power. (to do, to act) When your Solar Plexus is balanced you feel confident, in control, you know your own personal power and have a good self-image and drive. Having a blocked Solar Plexus will present itself through low self-esteem, feeling powerless or have an inferiority complex. If you have an overly strong personality, being described as power hungry, domineering, a perfectionist and critical this chakra may be overactive. Stone energy to wear or have in your sacred space would be yellow citrine as it is considered to be the light maker. It enhances happiness and invites abundance into your life. Chrysoberyl for empathy and forgiveness. Golden Tiger Eye for clarity, focus, protection and grounding.

The 4th Chakra is the heart chakra. Located in the center of your chest and comes in a ray of green light. It is the chakra point that represent love of self and of others. This chakra represents to be loved, to show love, to invite love. When your heart chakra is balanced you feel peaceful. You show compassion, you are tolerant, warm and open. When blocked you may fee a lack of empathy, bitter even hateful at times and feel very intolerant to others. On the other end, when it is overactive you are jealous, co-dependent, self-sacrificing and you give too much in order to feel love. Healing stones to incorporate into your life to balance the heart chakra are malachite the stone of transformation, the healer, it helps release emotions and trauma. Emerald which promotes emotional healing, balance and compassion. Pink quartz (rose quartz) to promote love of self and others, emotional healing and forgiveness.

The 5th Chakra is the throat chakra located at the base of your neck, spinning in blue light. This is the energy of your voice. How we express ourselves to others. (to speak, to be heard) When it is in balance you are confident in expressing your thoughts, you have clear communication, you feel creative and can be diplomatic. When there is a block in this chakra you have a difficult time expressing yourself or you speak out too much, you feel misunderstood, secretive and you listen to speak not to listen. If it is overactive, you are opinionated, loud, critical, you gossip, talk over others and use harsh words to get your point across. Useful stone energy would be turquoise as it is protective, healing and aids in communication. Aquamarine gives you courage, it calms the mind, aids in inner peace and enhances communication. Azurite gives your inner vision, unblocks the 3rd eye strengthening your intuition and helps in meditation.

The 6th Chakra is the 3rd Eye located in the middle of our forehead just between your brows. It is the ability to see beyond the physical realm. (to see) To be able to see with our physical eyes closed. It appears in a dark blue indigo ray of light. It is the connections beyond the physical into the spiritual realm. When in balance you are imaginative, intuitive, you have clear thought and vision and are able to see beyond the physical aspects of the world. A blocked 3rd Eye gives you poor judgement, lack of focus, poor imagination and are unable to see beyond the physical. Being overactive you may experience nightmares, delusions or hallucinate, you can be obsessive and if you are opening to the spiritual realm, you may see too many spirits and feel out of control with the energies around. Finding balance while meditating with stone energy Lapis Lazuli aids in self-awareness and vision. Amethyst is protective and helps in spiritual connection. Purple Fluorite is great of dream recall, psychic awareness, balance, intuition and spiritual growth.

The 7th Chakra is the Crown Chakra located at the top of your head. This represents our connection to our higher self, our inner self and to the divine. (to know) Spinning in purple rays of light. When your Crown is balanced you have strong faith, universal love, aware, knowledge and wisdom with an understanding of the unknown. When it is blocked you may feel depressed, have learning difficulties, weak in faith, feel anger towards the divine and brain fog. Being overactive shows up as judgmental, ungrounded and spiritual addicted. Stones and crystals to incorporate are diamond to bring strength, purity, enlightenment. Quartz for spiritual growth and process your emotions. And Gold to bring in positivity and aid you in high level spiritual connections.

There are many meditations you can access to align your chakras or going to a Reiki Healer. You can also use your own visualization techniques that suit you best. Here is an example:

Sit comfortably or lie down with your spine straight. Breathe in deeply and gently. Close your eyes and connect to yourself.

Imagine a black or brown ball of energy at your feet. With each breath allow it to expand to the size of a beach ball. This represents the Earth Star Chakra which aids in connecting your heartbeat to the heartbeat of the earth. Allow it to move into your body. Giving it permission to connect to each and every chakra.

Draw your attention to your Root Chakra as a red glowing orb. Allow it to expand to the size of the beach ball.

Continue to move up your body to your Sacral. Feel the warm orange glow and allow it to expand or decrease to match the beach ball.

Bring your attention to the Solar Plexus inviting the warmth of the sun to charge this yellow chakra. Again, expand or decrease the light to be the same size as the beach ball that is moving up your chakra chain, aligning with those already in balance.

Continue up to feel the green inviting light of the heart chakra and breath in the consistent size of the chakra energy balls.

Moving up to the blue light of the throat chakra matching the ball once again. With each breath you feel connected to each and every chakra.

Continuing up to the 3rd Eye which will glow in and indigo dark blue light. More powerful than the blue of your throat chakra. Be patient with this chakra. It may take a few moments to align with the other chakras. Expand or decrease the size of the light to match the others. Breathing in patiently.

Continuing to flow upwards to the Crown Chakra, feeling the violet light that lives there. Allow this size to match that of the others.

Once this happens, I like to breath in deeply 3 times exhaling with the word align, align, align.

Now all your chakras are balanced and aligned. Thank yourself for taking the loving time to give the attention to each and every chakra. Commit to be more present with each Chakra.

When you are ready, gently open your eyes. Note how you feel in a journal. As your meditation deepens, take note of your experiences. Trust the wisdom you learn from each energy center.

In your journal, ask yourself

How am I feeling this week? What went well? I do I need to let go of? What am I proud of? What do I need to do more of?

Watch how it changes as you deepen your connection to each chakra.

Blessings

Stacey

Long Awaited Invitation

Long Awaited Invitation

Today, I want to write to you about a long-awaited invitation. This invitation is for you, from you. You are cordially invited to reconnect with yourself. In the past few months, I have recommended a book to a few friends and clients. The book, “Embrace Your Shadow to Find Your Light” by Nancy Levin. I’ve actually considered putting a study group together to walk through shadow work. Each chapter is heart opening. A book you could literally reread several times depending on the situation you are in. After all, in order to see a shadow there needs to be light. When you stand together in a safe environment, light shines through. This light can help us find the shadows that haunt us.

One of the statements in this book says, “standing in your own responsibility starts with acknowledging that you are co-creator of your own reality.” When I read that, I felt as though someone was snapping their fingers at me as if to say, “hey, did you understand that? Wake up!” Maybe I need to take a closer look at who I am meant to be. Who others may see me as becoming.

Through our experiences, we teach ourselves to shut down certain qualities in order to not feel pain or discomfort again. Let’s face it, we tend to push away parts of ourselves due to fear, regret, and shame because of what we observed in the past. Time to reclaim the things you’ve hidden away. The magical gems that make us all unique. Our energy gets depleted when we fight to let them not surface. These are your own unique self-expressions that give you joy, motivation and make you feel whole. I often ask myself, “why do you judge yourself so harshly?” I limit my potential because of this harshness. In one of the chapters of the book, she says, “Reclaim what you’ve disowned.” Powerful words. Reclaim it and disown fear. Challenge yourself to be the you that you have been hiding. Take off that suit of protective armor, tear down the wall you hide behind. Do you fear rejection, feeling of abandonment, fear of being wrong, hated, neglected? There is a Blink 182 song called Reckless abandonment that describes “an attitude of abandoning or throwing off one’s inhibition and giving oneself up to a passion or enthusiasm for something. It is considered reckless because there is no attention to the possible cost, the opinion of others.” Wearing this suit of armor is not only heavy but isn’t that what you are manifesting. Do you think to yourself, if they knew this about me, they would not love me? So, we hide, we push down our authentic personality in order to please others.

Time to take responsibility. Time to show up for you and offer love and grace to your divine energy. Otherwise, you are the one abandoning yourself. You are accepting failure without even giving it a try. Instead, why not embrace wholeness of self, forgiveness, alignment and grace. What could change you may ask. The answer, everything could change. It can and will be liberating to find yourself again. Friends may leave your circle, but that makes room for new acquaintances to show up.

We are all a work in progress. Fear stops that progress. Let’s look at an artist. They create from the heart, from a higher place than their human existence. But what if that artist was afraid to show their artwork? What would happen? Their art would suffer and so would the artist. While writing my book, “My Head Knows, But My Heart Still Hurts” I had such a high when I received the proof copy. Here it was, in my hands. But that high quickly faded and I was overshadowed by fear. The reality of someone reading my words sent such a fear through my veins. My words, thoughts, feelings, experiences were now in print for anyone to read. I had so many what ifs swirling around in my head. What if it hurts someone instead of helping? What if it doesn’t make sense to the reader? What if no one buys it? What about typos or grammar mistakes? Fear was all around me. My vulnerabilities were showing up loudly. Did I really know what I was talking about, I mean who am I to write a book about grief? Writing the book brought to surface emotions that I thought I had healed from and found that I was still in the healing stage. So, what made me an authority?

Nancy’s book talks about 7 steps to embrace your shadow. They are awareness, surrender, responsibility, authenticity, resilience, nourishment and wholeness. I reflected the fear of publishing. I was aware of my fear. I felt it through my entire body. I felt the need to surrender the fear, otherwise I would never have published it, written a second book and would not be currently working on other books and a card deck. I felt a deep responsibility to my clients who spoke to me over and over again of their fear of forgetting. I had been given these words to share, not to hide away. Even if it only helped 1 person, I felt the need to have this tool for them. It was important to me that it sounded like I was speaking. If the reader knew my voice inflections, I wanted them to hear my authentic voice while working through each chapter. I wanted to say the words that Spirit had given to me. Every week I met with my publisher. I had to be resilient, to have new copy for her each week. I was nourished by how the words flowed through me onto the pages. Finally, wholeness came when I received notes from those who read my book telling me how much it helped them. I felt whole because I overcame the fear of vulnerability and through it all, I received healing as well.

When fear creeps in, I remember these steps. It could be any situation, before a reading, driving somewhere different, meeting new people. I work to be aware, surrender, responsibility, authenticity, resilience, nourishment and wholeness. When past doubts haunt me, I go back to faith over fear. Faith is so much stronger when you stand firm in it. It adds light to your path. It helps you come out of a fear-based darkness. Although this light may be dim at first, your light will get brighter and brighter as you face the root causes of the fear. This is an ongoing exercise while we are here in earth school. I’m not sure we ever really graduate from it until we are in the next realm.

RSVP and accept the invitation to reconnect to yourself on a daily basis. Great things are here for you, all you have to do is accept the long-awaited invite. It is calling you to live the life you love and love the life you live. I hope this will push you to say yes to show up for yourself and reconnect to the authentic being you are meant to become.

Blessings,

Stacey

Grief…It’s Complicated

Grief…It’s Complicated

Welcome to another Tuesday Talks blog. I’m so glad you are reading this. My hope is that you find peace in my words that brings light to your soul. I’m going to speak about grief, but it is a different this time. If you have never experienced the death of someone, count yourself lucky. This is something we all will go through at some point in our lives. In saying that, there are other types of grief. The loss of a friendship or marriage, a job or your once healthy body. We grieve “what could have been.”

At birth, there is no instruction booklet, just like at death, there is none as well. There are literally millions of books and articles written on both of these subjects. All offering helpful tools and mantras, but they are not tailored to your exact experience nor situation. As you read, please remember that I am not a trained therapist or doctor. However, in the 10 years of being an Evidential Medium I have been in front of all different types of grief and will explain what my particular experiences have been. Some who just lost someone, their passings was a few years ago or many years ago. No matter what stage of mourning you are in, you are looking for reassurance. You want validation that your loved one is ok and you are longing to hear from them.

But there is another type of client I come across from time to time. They are the ones discovered something about the one who passed that is unsettling. They, too, are looking for answers. You may be the one who left had no idea the person was struggling with an addition or depression. They wonder why they did not notice what was the cause of this action.

In these particular cases, the 7 stages of grief can roll in several times a week or even all in one day. There is shock, denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance and hope. Processing grief is complicated. It is different for everyone.

I remember so blatantly hearing stories about my mother at her funeral. Stories that made me think, “I didn’t know that woman.” I didn’t know that part of her because I was her daughter, not school mate, co-worker or even cousin. We have different experiences based on the relationship role we played in each other’s lives. There was an article I read once that explained that no one is raised the same way. I often thought, I raised my kids all the same, but they are all so different. It pointed out that at the time of your first child’s birth, you had never experienced being a parent. You were younger, maybe finances were different. The second child comes along, you have some experience on what to expect and you are more comfortable at parenting. The same with additional children. We are all at different stages in our lives when we experience things. For my children, they had a different type of grief, because this was their grandmother. I experienced the loss of my mother. Because of the role she was to them, the time in her life as well as theirs. Think about it, if you are a grandparent, the things that may have stressed you out with your children are not as stressful when it comes to your grandchildren. With age, most of us grow more patient, we have a better listening ear. I’ve been called on the carpet several times with my children saying, “you would have never left us do….” See the difference? Grief is the same.

These are “normal” circumstances, but what if things come out after their passing that you had no knowledge of? Double grief, it that even a thing? All of a sudden, what you thought was true has also died. Sometimes, it can be healing other times, not so much.

A healing experience: I had a client a few years ago that hadn’t seen his father since he was 7 years old. No one in the family ever spoke about his father. He had no knowledge of where he was or what happened. All he knew was that his father left him. When he came to me, I offered several pieces of information that when I asked if it made sense, his response was maybe. I remember the message came in very strongly and I knew I was not wrong. I mentioned that I was hearing cold caste, and I remarked how sorry I was to inform him that his father has passed. I questioned what 7 years meant, to which he informed me his father left him at that age. This was unlike most readings I had done at this point. I gently explained that his father had gotten mixed up with some unfavorable people who threaten to kill him (the son) if he did not comply. I mentioned a name, who had more information. Did he know of anyone with this name? His uncle’s, (his father’s brother) name was this name. I suggested that he speak with his uncle to receive more information about what had happened. I also mentioned in New York. In this case, here was a man, several years later finding out that his father did not run out on him. Instead, his father saved his life. He later came back and told me about the conversation he had with his uncle.

I had a mother come to me who was in disbelief of the coroner’s report. The cause of death was a fentanyl overdose. When her son came in, he apologized for taking a drug that killed him. She had no idea that he had ever used any form of drugs. This was a man who was very health conscious, an athlete in school and had plans for collage. This did not seem like your typical person who would abuse drugs. The mother needed more than a coroner’s report; she needed to hear it from her son.

Sometimes, those who choose to leave this earth before their time are able to hide their depression. They are the life of the party. Always laughing and it is hidden until it is not. Some choose to suffer in silence because they do not want to burden their family with their fearful thoughts.

The person who suddenly passes but it is later discovered that they had an illness. They chose not to share the news with anyone. You may have noticed they had lost or gained weight or were sleeping a lot, but it didn’t seem abnormal to the point of discussing it. You may feel a missed opportunity to have a conversation with them?

Some unknown situations are easier to maneuver than others, but they are different for everyone involved. The stages of grief can be a never-ending loop in your body.

One client came to see me was so distraught at the loss of her husband, which is normal. However, when her husband came through, I thought I had my wires crossed and was misunderstanding his message. I remember saying to her, I’m not sure where this is going but I’m going to say what I am hearing is that ok? She agreed. I gingerly tried to give her the message as gently as I could. I did not want to come right and say what he was telling me. I described the message from her husband. He told me to express how sorry he was for the surprise appearance of someone at the funeral home. That was as graceful as I could convey it. She burst into tears and told me while preparing for his service, a woman and her two teenage children walked in and informed the funeral director that she, in fact, was the widow of this man. My client had found out that her husband had a second family that she was not aware of.

Things were found in the home of a father of a friend that was very unsettling. They found several photos of young people in compromising positions. Their father was writing letters and receiving photos from underage children. How do you even begin to wrap your head around something like this? You’ve physically lost your father but now you’ve also emotionally lost the connection you had with him.

A family came to me a few years ago and their mother came to say, the secrets you are searching for will only harm the family. Let it go, do not dig for answers anymore. They wanted answers that I could not give them. Spirit gives you what you need not necessarily what you want. This mother was not going to tell me something to convey to them that could cause further damage. The family, of course, curious to find out asked me to find out. I had to disappoint them by saying spirit will tell you when you are ready, if they want to tell you. I cannot force the answers out of them.

This type of mind-bending grief, betrayal or just curiosity about what the big secret may be is hard to imagine. It is heart-breaking to me that sometimes; I am not always able to offer the healing they are looking to receive. Situations like these are few and far between, thankfully. If they were not, I may change my thought process of offering readings.

I can offer love and understanding in these unusual situations. I gently explain to the client to try to focus on the person you knew. The life you had and moments your shared. This is the person who meant the world to you, this is the person you are grieving. You did not know or could not control the actions of things you had no knowledge of. Give yourself permission to feel all the feelings.

Allow all the stages of grief to come to the surface. Not only do you feel the shock that they have passed, but also in this new information. Denial will play a big role in your emotions. Quickly followed by anger. Denial and anger may plant a flag in your energy for a while. It is ok to be pissed off at the person. You feel betrayed, lied to, or made to feel like a fool for not seeing it. You may bargain with yourself, God, the one who passed, searching for resolution, but that can lead you into depression. Questioning everything you ever thought about this person. Acceptance and hope may be further down the road with a lot of speed bumps, throwing you back a stage or two in the process.

This is not the normal blog or subject I speak about often. When a subject comes to my attention several times, I meditate and ask for wisdom and the words to speak. I believe most of the inquiries are about those who chose to leave this earth before their time, but since the subject is “Grief…it’s complicated”, I decided to expand a bit, so not to leave anyone out. All situational grief is difficult. Grief is difficult.

There are no easy solutions. I do not have a quick fix or even a meditation to get rid of this in one or two settings. This may be a lifelong process of releasing. The direction, I suggest, in my experience is to seek out a good therapist or a grief group that you speak about, all the things spinning around in your head. Tell your story and release the secrets so that you do not feel as though you have to also keep quiet about what has occurred.

The truth is, death on its own is heartbreaking and grueling. In these cases, it is also problematic. The one left behind has all this new information to process. Give yourself grace and time, understanding that the actions of the deceased are not your responsibility. They will have a life review and an understanding of their wrongdoings. I believe they will have accountability either in the spiritual realm or back on the earthly plain in another lifetime.

This is my understanding. Here are some helpful things to keep in mind while experiencing complicated feeling because of this new information.

  • Be prepared for a range of emotions. Recognize where they stem from. Give yourself time and grace to process.

  • Find a new way to process your emotions. Join a gym, go for a walk, journal about how you feel.

  • Be mindful of new relationships. Not every relationship will be the same as this one. Try not to place walls around yourself because of someone else’s actions. You are not responsible for carrying this burden.

  • Remember the good stuff. Allow the precious memories you had with them to flow into your memory bank.

  • Tell your story. Don’t keep it bottled up. Find a grief group or a therapist to help you work through what is spiraling out of control in your mind.

  • Not all secrets are bad. If you share them, they are no longer secrets.

  • Dwelling on it does not help you. It does more harm than good. Release as much as you can as many times as you need.

Orson Scott said — “Life is full of grief, to exactly the degree we allow ourselves to love other people,”

Allow yourself to show inward love in a gently, graceful way. You deserve to live the life you love and love the life you live.

Blessings,

Stacey

Fear

Fear

Les Brown said, “Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fear”

Read that one again. That quote clicked something in my brain that said, yes, that’s it. We are living in our fear and that is what stops us from living our dreams. I seek to find clarity in why we stop living the adventurous life that we could be living. At the end of each show, podcast, email and reading I always say, “I pray you live the life you love, and love the life you live. If not change it".”

The big question is, why am I comfortable living in fear? Does it really hold us in a place of comfort? How can it, if fear places a big stop sign in front of our dreams? We have an action plan, then all of a sudden there is this tiny, doubting voice in our head saying, “where do you think you’re going? It’s scary over there and you are fine right here.” Sound familiar? We may respond by thinking, but my dream is this but I’m afraid of this outcome. Ask yourself, “What am I afraid of?”

Fear is an acronym for Fear Everything and Run or Face Everything And Rise. It makes me wonder, am I so afraid of death that I fear life? Mind-blowing right? I have a friend who dreams of seeing the world but she is so afraid of the possibility of getting into an accident. She only travels back roads and stays local. But she wants to see the world. This fear is stopping her. Do you dream of seeing your favorite artist in concert but the idea of being in a crowd makes you fearful and uncomfortable? We all have past experiences in our memory bank that can make us feel all relationships end terribly because we’ve had that experience. But your dream is to find a companion, get married and have a family. Do you live in the shadow of fear because of what someone else’s experiences? Does an illness run in your family, and your fear is that there is no escape, this illness will one day be yours as well? Being cautious, or having a plan, finding the tools to help you is one thing, but totally pulling out of the possibilities that this fate will not be yours is another thought you need to bring into your energy.

If you want to face it and rise there are steps you can take. It can be a slow process, but in the end, you will feel as though you have overcome this fear. Wouldn’t that be a great feeling? And I want to acknowledge fear is real. We can’t help it. We were basically born into fear. Think for a moment, we all were unborn babies nestled in a warm safe womb. Everything you needed was given to you. As an unborn child, you were floating in a warm space only hearing the soft muffled voices of your parents or others around them. Everything you needed was given to you by a magical cord that attached to your mother. You received food and nourishment, you didn’t need to breath because your body was being fueled by the connection of this magical cord. You were in a safe space no interference from the outside world. Then one day after 9 months of comfort, you were being pushed and squeezed down to a narrow tunnel. You’ve never been there so what is it, where am I going? Your little body is squeezed through a canal, the warmth of the fluid you once floated in suddenly is gone and there is this bright light that is foreign to your eyes. A being, a stranger pulls you out and up and cuts the only life force that you’ve known. Your body is cold for the first time and you are shaking, gasping for air, you cry and that sound is loud and unfamiliar to you. Something is touching you, wiping you off, wrapping you in something warm until finally you are placed safely in your mother’s arms. But this is a new unfamiliar connection to your life force. It’s new and you are adjusting to a lot of things in a short amount of time. When you look at it this way, it is no wonder we fear new things. The shock of the birth process although beautiful, when you look at it this way it’s like Mr. Toad’s wild ride. Although, exaggerated a bit, think about it. And when I was born, they used to slap the baby’s behind to get them to cry in order to put air in the lungs. So the first memory in this child’s life is pain. Oh my God, what have I just gone through?

I’m currently reading a book called “Fear” by Thich Nhat Hahn. In this book, he speaks about incorporating mantas into your daily life. Being mindful of others is second nature, it is putting into practice being mindful of what you need as well. To be mindful in the moment for someone you may say to them, I am here for you. Place your hand on your heart center and say to yourself, “Dear one, I am here for you.” When you care for someone the best think you can do is show up for them. Allow yourself to do the same thing for you. “Dear one, I am here for you.”

Show yourself recognition when you feel unseen or maybe you do not recognize yourself in a situation. Place your hand on your heart center and say will conviction and love, “Darling, I know you are there, and I am happy for you.” You are saying, I see you. I see you are growing or you are in there, don’t allow this situation to change who you are on the inside. “I see you, I know you are there.”

Are you suffering in silence? Feel like no one understands? Place your hand on your heart, “ Darling, I know you are suffering, that is why I am here.” This keeps you connected, validating your emotions but also saying but you are working through it. You are a miracle of life and understanding the suffering without judging yourself or others is overcoming the fear of the what if it gets worse. Instead of rushing the healing, and pushing it into a hidden part of your soul, feel it, acknowledge the feeling and offer love and compassion.

Sometimes, the feeling is more than we can handle alone. That’s ok, reach out and ask for help from a trusted friend or a trained professional. “Dear one, I’m suffering please help.” There is no shame in asking others to be your safe space.

These mantra meditations help to restore the peace and harmony within yourself. They are tools to help you overcome fear. They teach you how to defuse the ticking time bomb within yourself by inviting calmness to your otherwise frantic fear. Once you validate the fear you are beginning to heal. Add in breathing exercises to the mantras. Become fully aware of your breath and follow the flow. I know I am breathing in and out slowly. I am aware of how it feels. I am letting go of the fear as I breath in and out. Connect to the flow of the cool air entering your nostrils into your lungs as your chest expands and how it changes to warm air and your chest falls. You become aware of what your body needs. You are connecting and paying attention. All of a sudden you feel yourself start to calm down, be mindful of any tension in your body, usually the neck, shoulder, back or feet. Visualize releasing breath into these areas and you exhale any tension you may feel. Take note of things that bring you joy, how you feel. Feel that joy and breath it into the tension. Make a list of if you want and focus on the list. You are inviting joy into your energy. Ponder the thought of I feel joy as you are breathing. Recognize, even though I feel pain or fear, I also feel joy. Embrace that fear, “hello fear, anger, anxiety. I am calming my mental thoughts of you. You no longer have power over me.” Be present for you. “My darling, I did not go anywhere. I release the fear and resolve to have faith in myself and release it. I know the fear is within me, but my faith is my dreams is stronger.”

I had a client in the other day who said that she always braced for the what ifs and now she is embracing the possibilities. When you brace yourself, your body gets tense, you push back and wait for impact. But embracing, you are leaning in, inviting in the feelings of love and good intensions.

It may not all be sunshine and roses. Things may bubble up from the root cause of the feeling. Change your perception. You are no longer your fear, you have released your fear. Change the dialogue in your mind to “May I be peaceful, happy and a light within my body.” or “May I feel safe from harm or illness.” or “May I feel free from anger, jealousy, anxiety.” These are but a few ways to change your perspective. Your intension is “May I live my dream and break free from fear.”

I urge you to not miss the thousands of moments of joy in your life by dwelling in fear. You decide, living your dream or living in fear. We all should want to live the life we love and love the life we live. Kick fear to the curb and dream big my friends.

Blessings

Angels

Angels

I’ve been meditating and asking about subjects to speak about and as I reflect back to the most asked questions. When I notice similarities, I use those as subjects to speak about on my lives Tuesday Talks at 10:30 on my social media as well as on Connecting to Spirit podcast.

We all have our own separate experiences with Guides, Angels, Archangels and past loved ones. My suggestion is to always use your intuition of the meanings brought to you. Do not over think it.

I’m starting a series over the next few weeks about Angels, Guides, Archangels. Tonight, I’m going to break down my understanding as they how they have come to me. My goal is to guide you into the possibility and reality, that you too, have helpers around you. Their similarities and their differences. But I want to emphasize to you to not overthink it. Try not to place them in a nice neat box. Allow them to help you in the way that is for your greatest and highest good. The more you invite them in the better understanding you will have.

If you are just starting your spiritual journey, you may have some difficulty shutting off the conversation between your left and right brain. Left brain is logic and critical thinking. Where right brain is creative talent, intuition. The right brain is the one you want to allow to guide you.

Archangels are the highest-ranking angels. They have specific talents, jobs specialties. We will break those down in the next few episodes.

Spirit Guides are from the shamanic tradition. They can appear in animal, spirit or even in the form of a past loved one. A Guide or guardian angel provides guidance, protection, wisdom and support during your life journey. Spirit Guides usually once were human form and aid us in our life purpose. Guides work closely with you and are specialists in their own right. They assist us from our birth to our death.

Tonight, we are going to focus on Angels. The similarities in all of these forms are that they all communicate energetically. Because of this it can be difficult to differentiate who is around. This is why I’m doing this series. This may help the left brain (logic) have a better understanding and let its guard down in order to allow the right brain (creativity and intuition) can come forward.

Angels are great being of light that reside in the higher realm. They have never been human except Metatron who was Enoch while on the earthly plain. (I’ll explain that when we speak in-depth of Metatron)

Angels are messenger from Creator. They function from the heart center and are focused on love and compassion. If you will allow them, they will teach you a higher understanding.  Angels can change as events in your life change. Depending on what you need they will answer.

All may send signs validating they are around. Some signs can be warm tingling sensations, synchronicities such as angel number on clocks or license plates, receipt totals etc. Some can be an audible voice that you hear, a scent, visual sign, intuitive feeling, meditation and reflection, dreams, and personal experience with signs and symbols.

Angels pop up when we need to feel as though we are not alone. They are nurturing and helpful. The most common thing angels send are angel numbers. We’ve all see these but may not know what they mean. And I want to explain again, to use your intuition on what these numbers bring to mind when you see them. As humans we can over think the numbers but when you see them, what feeling are you receiving at that time? That is their message to you. There are hundreds of books on what angel numbers mean to others and you’ll notice that they don’t always agree. This is the interpretation of the author or speaker. Here are some of the meanings when you see the numbers

111 is said to say to you, use your intuition. It is the confidence or motivation for you to trust what you feel.

222 implies that you are on the right path. The right place at the right time.

333 balance of the mind, body and spirit. To me, 333 is the trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost which if you think about it is the mind, body and spirit.

444 is love, support, guidance and protection.

555 is for change. There is a change that is about to occur

666 means step back and rethink the direction or thought process

777 inner strength, it is a sign to slow down and take care of yourself.  Reflect on your needs at this time.

888 The balance. Pay attention to balance and harmony around you.

999 The wrap up. It is time to start a new journey.

If you look at numerology 1 is the “go-getter” it’s all about new beginnings, independence. Taking charge of the direction of who and what you want to achieve. So 111 is using your intuition and motivation and trusting it. Self-dependent and hard working.

2 mutual understanding and understanding intuition for peace and harmony

3 The trinity of past present and future. Bringing it all together for balance, almost like closure and the impact you can have in telling your story. Not just for yourself but for others as well.

4 brings a sense of stability in your life path

5 is adventurous and social

6 the mother of all number because it connects you to caring for others. You pausing to see what others may need

7 Wisdom in the search for truth

8 overcoming, infinity symbol. Feminine energy

9 completion, growth and service.

So, I just gave you a lot of information just about signs from numbers that your angels may show you. But again, what do you think they are telling you? This is just one way they bring things to your attention. If you are thinking of starting a new career you may see 555 (change is about to occur or adventurous and social.

When teaching my students about angel numbers and signs, I often tell them, don’t stop and look up what it means, yet. Stop for a minute and reflect on what you were thinking about or what is going on in their life? What did you feel when you saw this sign? That is your answer. Look it up later. Go on your intuition, feeling to find your answers.

Thinking that angels have not been in human form, all their messages are brought in warmth and love. There is nothing to fear. They are your cheerleaders and your love note that you find to acknowledge, you are not alone in this world.

There is a book called “Angels for Everyday Living” by Jacky Newcomb. She has several books “Angel Blessings”, “From Angels with Love” “I can see Angels” and many more.  In here book “Angels for Everyday Living” She speaks about feathers. This is also a common sign that angels are around you. It seems so simplistic that you would find a white feather as a message, because we all imagine angels as these beautiful being with large wing spans with an abundance of feather. It makes sense that when they are present, they would leave you a present allowing validation, they were with you. What else would it be than a feather? I have a collection of feathers that I have found in the craziest places.

While in Colorado and an intuited conference, in a shared home, I left the room that I was staying in to take a shower, upon my return there was a feather on the floor. A small, white, fluffy feather. It made me smile but at that time I was still testing my “wings” on my trust in my intuition. While getting ready for the next session, I opened my jewelry bag and inside of the bag was another small white fluffy feather. I called my husband just to make sure that he did not place it there and his response was, you’re never coming home, are you? You’ve found your answers. Of course I returned home, but I was a totally different person. I had left behind the doubt of weather I was on the right path or not.

I believe that angels will come in the form that we are the most comfortable. Feather, are comfortable for most of us. They want to bring us joy. I remember after seeing the 2nd feather, I felt the need to stop for a quick second and say thank you, please continue to send me more signs that I will understand. And that is exactly what they did and still do. Ask them to place them in unusual place so that your logical mind can not rationalize it. If you see a feather on a walking path, it’s not that unusual, but inside of a zipped jewelry bag? Mind blowing.

There are tons of people who have stated that they were in a tragic accident and came out without a scratch and they felt as thought someone was in the car with them but there was no one there. Angels. If it is not your time, they will intervene.

If you’d like to meet your angels, there are several guided meditations across many platforms. Here is what I recommend.

Find a quiet area inside or outside whichever you are comfortable. Maybe light a candle or have incense burning, use an oil so you have your senses involved. Have the intention, thought process to meet one of your angels or your team. Have a notebook close by to write down your experiences afterwards.

Take a few deep breaths, relaxing the mind, body and spirit. Visualize a garden with a bench or a beautiful tree with a bench. Whatever visual you see will be correct. See the flowers around you and the color of the sky. How the breeze feels on your skin. Go and sit on the bench and invite them to come sit with you for a minute. Maybe you see a doorway opening with light, or all of a sudden you feel something or someone next to you. Breath it in without allowing your rational side of your brain peak through. If it shows up ask it to come back later.  Take notice of all your senses, what do you see, smell, feel, hear?  You can tap the seat beside you in your mind’s eye and say, sit with me. Tell me or show me what I need to know right now. Be patient. Enjoy the wonderful energy. Then when you are ready open your eyes and journal your experience. Once you start writing more things will come. If you draw, sketch what you feel drawn to sketch.

When you are finished be sure to date the experience. And continue to practice and beautiful things will begin to ignite within your mind, body and spirit. Be sure to not them as well as you grow closer to the angels in the spirit realm.

Thank you for being a part of this series. Next week we will speak about Spirit Guides, their purpose and how they differ from Angels. We will continue each week as we talk about Archangels and talk about their which one to call in when different things happen in your life.

If this has helped you with a better understanding, share this episode with your friends. Like and share. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at connectiongtospiritwithstacey@gmail.com. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Earth School is in Session…..Soul Purpose Spiritual Path?

Earth School is in Session…..Soul Purpose Spiritual Path?

How do I find my spiritual path and my soul purpose? This is a question I am asked often. My answer, “where do you feel drawn? If time and money were no object what would you be doing and where would you be?” Some, instantly answer. Others remark they have no idea. They come up blank but they feel there is more for them to do.

Things to ponder, in the 24 Hour Book is a meditation that says put this into practice with faith and conviction. This is a good place to start.

I believe that life is a school in which I must learn spiritual things. I must trust God/Source and He will teach me. I must listen to God/Source and He will speak through my mind. I must commune with Him in spite of all opposition and every obstacle. There will be days when I will hear no voice in my mind and when there will come no intimate heart-to-heart communication. But if I persist, and make a life habit of schooling myself in spiritual things, God will reveal Himself to me in many ways.” The prayer or mantra that goes hand in hand with this is, “I pray that I may regularly go to school in things of the spirit. I pray that I grow spiritually by making a practice of these things.”

Do you feel that in your soul? Does it speak to you? Let’s break it down a bit. We’ve all gone to school to learn different things. We’ve been taught to read, write, communicate etc. When we’ve completed the traditional school, now life becomes our school. We can learn new things everyday if we pay attention. Just like in a classroom setting, if you are not paying attention and participating you are not completing learning all that is available to you. Life is filled with lessons that help us to grow into who we are to become.

As children, we look up to our teachers, we trust them and feel safe. Source is the greatest teacher of all offering daily lessons, tests, accomplishments and hard lessons. We learn from our teachers by speaking with them, listening and doing home work. This comes in the form of prayer and meditation when we are learning from Source. In the silence we strive to find clarity. If you’re not hearing a guided answer, ask again in a different way. Don’t give up. Ask until you hear/know/feel the path to follow. Communicate with a faithful, truthful heart. Think about getting to know someone you just meet. You talk and listen. Sharing stories to get to know each other. Treat Spirit the same way. A few weeks ago, we spoke about shower meditation. I received several emails and comments stating this made meditation attainable. Great! Put it into practice. Every time you are in the shower, meditate. Get quiet as the water washer away yesterday and cleanses you for a new day. Imagine the water at the top of your head being a great white light connected to Source covering you in love and alignment. Take the time to get quiet. Ask. Listen. Receive clarity. Doing this everyday will help you in your search for answers and provide a connection to Source. Ask your guides and Angels to draw near to you. Ask them, “What do I need to know today?” Listen to the feeling of the answers. It may be a small voice, a vision or a feeling. And, yes there will be days when the answers don’t seem to come. Ask again? No matter what is goin on in your life, Spirit already knows. They are waiting for you to invite them in for a conversation.

Spirituality isn’t something that only certain people can attain. It is inside all of us, waiting to be invited. To awaken us to listen. This is part of the homework. Speaking of homework, what daily practices do you do each day to learn? Do you read, listen to e-books, go to lectures, listen to podcasts? Pay attention to the small things around you and have class everyday. Earth school teaches us to prepare a connection to the higher realm. Look for signs and synchronicities, ask for them and they will appear.

If you are looking for your soul purpose, your spiritual path; visualize it and make a plan to acknowledge the learning process. Nurses don’t become nurses without schooling. Once they have completed school the passion of practicing what they have been taught makes them healers. Social workers, therapists go to school to learn human traits, traumas, emotions and so much more. Their passion comes alive when sharing what they’ve learned. They, too are healers. We are all healer in some form. We’ve healed from many things that have crossed our paths. We’ve survived and learned many things. When we take it one step further and begin to help others, then we are healers. What’s your super power? Are you a good listener, writer, organizer? Are you fascinated with herbs and plant medicine? Does stone energy peak your interest? What intrigues you? Where do you feel pulled or even pushed to do? I would love to hear about it. Email me at connectingtospiritwithstacey@gmail.com. Let’s talk about where your soul is leading you. What subject can you speak about for hours that for some reason seems to come naturally to you? This is all part of who you are and what you are to become.

By making a practice of learning in earth school everyday, you are also teaching others what it takes to be you. The universe will speak to you and draw you in when you welcome in the teaching. When you pay attention and participate.

I pray I can regularly go to school in the spirit. Grow spiritually, learn spiritually and share what I have learned with the world. Let’s heal the world together, one person at a time.

Meditation and prayer can open up so many new possibilities of learning every day. Pay attention to what you are learning. Communicate with consciousness, Spirit, God, Angels, Guides, and your loved one who have passed. Ask questions believing that the answers, signs and direction will appear.

Be a faithful student in earth school. It will truly help you live the life you love and love the life you live.

Blessings

To watch this episode https://fb.watch/xS1e6N9hOK/second and say thank you, please continue to send me more signs that I will understand.

You can listen live on Bold Brave Media every Tuesday night at 8 pm Est Connecting To Spirit.

I pray you live the life you love and love the life you love.

Blessings for a great week filled with signs from the angels.

Only The Shadow Knows

Only The Shadow Knows

Today, we are going to discuss shadow work. I recently sat in a class about shadow work. I’ve done my share of inner reflection and shadow work to find out why some things trigger a side of myself that I didn’t know existed. Sometimes, I receive the answers quickly, but most time it leads to more questions and more work with my shadow. I never really understood that what I was doing was considered shadow work.

Jung describes our shadow as “the hidden, repressed for the most part, inferior guilt-laden part of ourselves”. Well, that sounds pretty yucky and something that maybe I don’t want to address but, address it, I must if I want the answers I am seeking. I have been reading a book by Nancy Levin called “Embrace Your Shadow To Find Your Light”. This sounds more like what I am looking to achieve. Her description is more approachable or me. “Our shadow is made up of all parts of ourselves that we hide, deny, suppress, and don’t see in ourselves - both positive and negative. Our shadow is all aspects that we reject out of shame, fear or disapproval.” Now, that speaks to me, this is something worth digging into. It is in all of us and it is trying to understand what we do not understand in ourselves. Whether it be a known or unknown reason from a past experience that we may reject or possibly don’t even remember. It can cause us to be angry, have a large ego, be guarded, over motivated etc. A “trigger” that is a learned trait learned out of fear of disapproval from someone. That, in some warped way, resonates with me.

When I first heard about shadow work, it seemed to denote a negative, bad or even evil part within myself. And since I did not want to believe I held any of these characteristics, I glossed over investigating what it really meant. I believe it is probably a knee jerk reaction to people when on a spiritual path. It seems eerie and unwelcomed in my energy. But in fact it would stand to explain trust issues because someone broke my trust which tends to break my spirit. Maying you were left alone a lot and the result is that you are super independent or you are super needy. Where you called lazy and so to not hold that trait, you are a workaholic? This is all a part of shadow work.

A visual they use in the book is that it is similar to the phases of the moon. The moon’s size does not change however, you only see what you can see because of the atmosphere around it or the tilt of the earth. The rest is hidden. It is still there but it is in the shadow of something. Interesting, right?! Cloud formations act as barriers of what is seen by the naked eye. We are much the same. Depending on who or what is surrounding us, can make you less vulnerable. We choose to only show others what we want them to know or see in us.

Exploring shadow work helps look deep within ourselves to see what may be hiding. We may present ourselves one way in our place of business, but a totally different way to close friends and family. Maybe you were grew up hearing, “What will the neighbors think” or you were told to be seen and not heard. Although most of our parents tried to instill great values in us, it may have also made us “people pleasers”, shy or worried about what others thought.

As we go though all of life hands us, we strive to have a better understanding of ourselves. Although that may sound a bit odd, I mean how can I not know myself? How do I get disconnected from me? Shadow work, deep inner work can help you reconnect with yourself. It can help pinpoint the trigger areas to help you find inner harmony and peace within yourself. You become aware of what you are hiding from others or yourself. You begin to surrender the control it has over you, accepting responsibility and offering grace and forgiveness. You are being truthful with yourself and replacing it with harmony by working through the triggers. The result, finding wholeness with yourself. This is all about the reflection in the mirror. What do you see and what do you want to see?

Some steps to help bring inner harmony through shadow work are first becoming aware of what you may be hiding from other or even from yourself. Why do I reject this trait within myself and can I not be venerable enough to let it be seen? Once you acknowledge it, allowing yourself to surrender the control it may have on you. Looking at this experience and accepting responsibility. Then inviting in grace and forgiveness. Standing strong in the conviction of not allowing to be placed in this position again. It takes strength to be really honest with yourself. Nourishing yourself, with the work that needs done in order to replace harmony in your life again. The result is recognizing what triggers you and having the tools in place to find wholeness in your life.

To me, it is all about reflection. Being able to look in the mirror with the confidence of who you are and who you aspire to be. Finding the understanding of the why behind the action. Changing your mindset to no longer allow you to be triggered. I like to journal my thoughts of the whys. This way is gets it out of my head, out of my energy, allowing me to breath through it. It flows from my head to my arms, to my fingers that are holding the pen to the paper. Ever say to yourself, “that sounded better in my head”? Reading your words can break the trigger. Our minds talk over us, but bringing in another sense like sight can bring clarity, Journaling may be scary. It’s the fear that someone may read my thoughts. Be brave enough to write them down, releasing the power of fear. We tend to avoid what triggers us. Ask yourself, “How can I heal from this fear?” Face it, ask about it, resolve to move through it if it pops up again. Take the power away from it and empower yourself. What is the story behind the trigger? How does it benefit me vs how does it affect my life? What would be different in my life if I were able to overcome this to the point that it no longer affected my energy? Has this given me some good qualities? If so, acknowledge them, take responsibility, replace and nourish yourself and find wholeness. Meditate on your findings to these questions and journal about the resolve you find.

This is a lifetime of experiences that may change the world around you. Investigate your spiritual energy with love, compassion, empathy and interest in the story behind it and the solutions will appear.

Life is much better when you live the life you love and love the life you live.

Blessings

The Words You Hear Inside Your Head

The Words You Hear Inside Your Head

As you all know, I frequently use Angel, Oracle and Energy cards as a tool while doing readings as a Medium. As a writer, I also use cards, Storymatic cards to prompt ideas to write about in those times where my mind is all over the place and the written words gets lost from my head to my hands. They are great to expand my thought process and take my writing down paths that I may not have thought to use. When thinking of what to speak about today, I thought it would be interesting to see how using a few cards from this deck would guide my subject matter.

The cards I randomly selected are above. The order I pulled them were “undeveloped roll of film, snob, ease dropper, lighting, if only what was said could be taken back and person who will do whatever it takes.“ The gold cards are the main character and the copper cards are the story. I selected them early in the day and reflected on them all day, processing how to bring them all together to mean something I could speak about with you. All these words can be positive or misleading, depending on what they said to me. No matter what order I placed them in, I kept coming back to the subject of my higher self, regret, and pushing the reset button to connect and reconnect with my higher self. Doing a soul journey of learning, loving and sharing.

So, let’s dive into this. The ease dropper, symbolizes our guides, angels, those who have gone before us and God. The are with us, guiding our experiences in order to be the best versions of who we are meant to be. But I also have to add the aspect of the higher self. The voice deep inside, materializing our greatest potential. It is that wise being of our consciousness that is surfaces when we invite it to make itself known. As I often do, I looked up the definition of higher self. It is “space between words, the stillness that resides within all of us. A part of all aspects that transcends the ego and our personal identity. The source of wisdom, intuition and a deeper understanding of our life purpose. The great belief in yourself that realizes you are a great addition to this world.” I could not have defined it in a better way. The ease dropper pays attention to what is happening in our lives. And as in true ease dropper form, we are unaware that they are even present.

We all have this voice within ourselves, but we do we listen or are we a “snob” to what it is saying? We may find it hard to believe all the possibilities that are placed before us. We don’t trust, therefore we snub the inner voice. This is a trained trait that we have just accepted. It comes from a lack of confidence and faith in ourselves. Maybe we were not given the emotion support we needed at one time or another, therefore we lack the skills to offer this support. In our lives we are told things that we wish, “if only what was said could be taken away”. But the ease dropper was there with us, experiencing the things we have experienced. Holding us up when we felt no one else was there. The question, I present to you is, when is it enough? Is it time to let your faith grow in the good things around you or will you continue to be a “snob” to what the universe has to offer you because you are afraid? When do you pay attention to what your life can be, is meant to be? It is time to heal and allow your dreams and visions of your spiritual path to awaken. To become “the person who will do whatever it takes.” Maybe our higher self also represents that “undeveloped roll of film” the unseen things about to come into your lives that could change the legacy of you.

Let’s go back to the statement, “if only what was said could be taken away.” Maybe think of what you have allowed these words to take from you. Think of it as a greater opportunity to grow from these words. Reevaluating what they have instilled in you, of what not to do or become. Turn it around to be what you can offer others, to give, not about what you did not receive. I’m igniting a light within you that I’m asking you to allow to grown like a bolt of “lightening”. Invite your light to shine. Light is so important, to be able to see and process the unseen, just like the “undeveloped roll of film.” I realize that we want that instant gratification. We all have cameras on our phones that instantly show us the picture we snaped to remember this moment. This, of course, wasn’t always the case. We had to remember to take a camera to special events and snap photos to later have them developed. Sometimes taking days to have them. Reminiscing those moments in time that we needed to hold in our hands after someone else added light to develop the film. The photo instantly takes us back to the moments we captured by pushing a button. Was it in focus, did I forget to bring my camera? I took this photo because I want to have this event permanently printed and honored in a book that I can page through at any time, retelling the stories that surrounded the picture. Then placed in a photo album, a special addition to any bookshelf. Over 40 years ago, after my grandmother passed, I found a white shirt box from Eyerly’s Department Store (I’m really aging myself). The box was filled with old film negatives. Looking at the negatives it is difficult to see the real picture, so I took them to a local camera store and had them all developed. Most of the photos where black and white, but to look at them made me wonder about their images. I had not thought about those photos for 10 years when we moved from my house into the school. I actually stopped writing and went on a search for them. It took a little time, but I found them. As I went through the photos (most taken before I was born) I thought about the stories that these photos were to tell me. They are all a part of who I am, they hold the faces of those who have gone before me. Those who look over me. The ones who represent some of the ease droppers of my life. They are the ones who paved the path of my existence. Their wisdom and traditions unknowingly passed down through the generations to me and from me to future generations. I truly believe they would want me to be the “person who will do whatever it takes”, not only to honor them but to give back to the world around me. To somehow make it a better place for future generations to come. To hear their words in the stillness, to connect with the ease droppers and with my higher self, what a wonderful conversation that would be.

Now think about the words that surround us on a daily basis. Words come to us in different way; email, texts, news or whatever written word that connects with your eyes and from your eyes to your brain, and to your essences. These words can bring you up or punch you in the gut. The choice can be yours. I wish to show you that no matter what words are placed in from of you, you can always make it about your spiritual path for the betterment of your healing and growing process. To grow into the person that will do whatever it take to live the life you love and love the life you live.

Here’s to the ease droppers that make it impossible for us to be a snob. To be the person who will do whatever it takes, no matter what words were said that can not be unsaid but instead hit us like a lightning bold to listen to the space between the words and take that undeveloped roll of film within us giving us a great belief that we, (all of us) are a great addition to this world.

Blessing,

Stacey

The Last Page

The Last Page

Today signifies the final page in the year of 2024 book. The next time I write it will be 2025. I write this page with the reflection of what this year has brought. What I have learned, experienced and shared. Every week I give you hints and tools to enable you to live the life you love and love the life you live. I feel a passion to help the reader (the world itself) heal. Let’s recap some of the chapters/lessons we have spoken about.

Last week we spoke about the elf within ourself. The inner voice that speaks and directs you. The spiritual self that combined with consciousness can help or hinder the world around you. We’ve spoken about the road to recovery. Using the twelve steps of spiritual awakening, the twelve virtues of connection and the twelve steps of AA. All for different reasons but all connected to find new meanings around and within ourselves. I’ve given channeled messages from my guides to help you see the light within and around you. We researched the difference between meditation and contemplation. As we are doing now, we spoke about reflecting back in time to a different place in our lives to find the blessing we now have encountered. One of the most difficult subjects we spoke about was navigating grief. Acknowledging there are no set directions of how to walk through it gracefully. Remembering phrases and actions that they instilled in us while being earthbound. We took a look at the messages in our heads to differentiate who is speaking to us. It is Creator, guides, angels, our loved ones, intuition or is it stinking thinking? I tasked you with looking at how you speak and think about yourself. I gave you some hints on doing your research before having a reading. What to expect in a reading and how to prepare. We took a closer look at the Angel and Oracle cards, and spoke about Animal Spirit Guides, how to sage and activate our connection with consciousness. The ABC’s of enlightenment of our spiritual journey. Declaring our independence from the things that get in the way. Living heart centered from the inside out. Creating a vision board and manifesting that vision to reality. Looking at our life highway and our emotional blueprint. Sharing things we’ve learned to help others heal. Living in the dash of our birth date and death date enabling the ability to L.I.P. live in peace. Placing faith and love at the forefront of all decisions and actions. The first chapter of 2024 starting with speaking about the year of the dragon and this being a year of abundance from the numerology meaning of 8. (2+0+2+4=8) All of these chapters, episodes can all be read in past blogs or on my YouTube Channel.

I feel as though I came into 2024 with a clear vision to expand the message on living the life you love in order to love the life you live. With the intentions of igniting something in you to connect to the higher realm of possibilities of what the earth has to offer you. To show reassurance that that we are not alone. To love much, and be true to your unique self (past, present and future selves) But above all, the knowing that you are loved and needed. Our loved ones, guides and angels are only a whisper away and in the quiet they will offer guidance.

These talks have helped convey my passion to anyone that will hear and feel me say “you, my friend, are loved.” Ephesians 3:20 was brought to my attention last night by my husband. The passage says, “God’s power working in us is able to (carry out His purpose and) do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think (beyond prayers, hopes or dreams) According to His power that is at work.” This speaks to the magnitude of Creator’s “can-do” ability to exceed abundance above all that we ask and think. Not just above, not just exceeding above. Creator can do exceeding abundantly above (superabundantly) all that we think and ask.

When we adjust our spiritual mindset it reflects in our actions and thoughts. Reflecting on the past chapter, “Who’s talking to me?” the task is to pay attention to what our inner voice is saying. Do you feel a direction, or an opportunity tugging at you? Making the decision to not just contemplate this opportunity in your spare time, but to commit to meditation, manifesting, visualizing and then putting action into creating the reality of it all. Pulling the reins back on the fear of manifesting and breaking through what is in our way of being the best you. The action of declaring spiritual independence. Trusting your heart enough to live each day from the inside out. Striving to place love above all other things. Walking a daily spiritual path with tools and practices to attract connections. are Knocking on your door is Creator, spirit, your higher self. Are you willing to open the door? All great things to ponder and meditate about.

Even if 2024 was not great, reflect on what you’ve learned and how much you’ve grown. Are you ready to mark this book read and place it on the shelf? This is the last page of the year with a new book starting tomorrow. A blank slate, new beginnings. A reminder to all to L.I.P. (live in peace). Ask for superabundant blessings for this year’s chapters that are in between your dash. Be sure to share your experiences, love and abundance with others to help them live the life they love and love the life they live.

Blessings for a beautiful New Year.

Recovery

Recovery

As I write this week’s blog, I can not believe next week is Christmas. Are you ready? I have 95% of my gifts purchased with about 1/3 wrapped. This year has gone by so quickly. It just seems like just yesterday I was speaking about the things 2024 might bring. In a blink of the eye we will soon be in 2025. It is crazy to me how fast time goes these days. I want to check in with you. Are you feeling festive or just feeling?

I was in an open forum last night with others who seek to find their soul purpose. The group is amazing. It is a safe space where we can literally discuss anything. Our topic last night was about our experiences with letting go and setting boundaries. We spoke about how difficult it is to relinquish the need to control all situations and then realizing how freeing it can be. The struggle is real. There were a few who spoke and most just listened. But I noticed heads nodding and heartfelt comments in the chat. In this safe space there is no judgement or push to speak. We are a group with a common goal. To achieve healing and to help others heal.

While the first 3 to 4 people spoke, I noticed a common theme. I’m not sure if I noticed it or if it was brought to my attention by the facilitator. The common them was they were all in recovery. The holidays can place unwanted pressures for those in recovery. There are triggers in social gatherings, or people, places and things.

The facilitator chimed in acknowledging a thought process that we are all in some type of recovery in our life. That statement awakened me to a huge aha moment. As humans experiencing life we are all in some sort of recovery. Be it addictions, grief, physical healing or emotional recovery. We are in a constant state of healing, letting go and learning to recover from something.

One of the participants put up a quote in the chat. “How well did you live? How well did you let go?” - Dali Lama

When I reflect on this year in my life, I also reflect on what I released. Why is it difficult to let go of the things that in our minds, we know, are not good for us? Why must we feel the need to hold on? To fix them? To control them? Do we want to stay in a state of flux and confusion because this is what we have grown accustomed to doing? Is change so scary due to the difficulty of walking into it in order to walk through it? I wish I had the answers to all of these questions or a guaranteed process to be able to say to you, “follow these steps and life will be beautiful and stress free.” But unfortunately, I do not have these answers.

One person said she read a quote, that I am paraphrasing. “What if we were able to move forward as though it was part of the process?” My thoughts, in the spiritual reality of all things, there is a reason for everything. We have to accept that we may not understand why at this time. This is something I say as I struggle with the reality. If I was given an answer, then I could have a better understanding. The process of moving through it would be better understood, even if I disagreed with it. I accept that the answers aren’t always freely available. So I aspire to handle these situation with compassion and forgiveness. Recognizing the truth I am given at the time of the situation. Even if I don’t completely understand the why. This is part of recovery.

There are 12 spiritual principals of recovery. They are acceptance, hope, faith, courage, honesty, patience, humility, willingness, brotherly love, integrity, self discipline and service. Things to put into place daily.

The 12 steps to spiritual awakening are seeking, questioning, self discovery, healing, integration, service to others, expanded consciousness, intuition and guidance, manifestation, mastery of conscious unity, and service.

Compare them. All similar steps that if worked help change thoughts, behaviors and relationships. Admitting there is a problem you are struggling to resolve, seeking help and making amends to live a responsible life. This is the result of the 12 steps of addiction and they are:

Admit we are powerless over (whatever the addiction) that our lives have become unmanageable. (giving up the thought that you are in control when you are not)

Come to believe in a Power greater than ourselves in order to help restore our sanity.

Make a decision to turn our will over to God as we understand the higher power.

Searching fearlessly to do a moral inventory of ourselves.

Admit to your higher Power, ourselves and others of the nature of our wrong doings.

Be entirely ready to have God remove the defects of our character.

Humbly ask our higher Power to remove our shortcomings.

Make a list and be willing to make amends.

Make direct amends to those we’ve harmed except when it would further injure.

Continue to take personal inventory and when we are wrong, promptly admit it.

Seek through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, praying only for knowledge of Creator’s will for us and the power to carry it out.

Have spiritual awakenings as a result of these 12 steps.

Look at the similarities of the 12 principles, the 12 steps to spiritual awaking and the 12 steps of AA. All with one thing in mind, living a spiritually fulfilled life, awakening, reflecting, prayer and meditation, change, growth and service. No matter the situation, we are all in some form of recovery. The holidays can be joyful or stressful. What step are you on during your recovery? Some will need repeated. Things will be released, healing will happen, boundaries will be put into place. “How well did you live? How well did you let go?” Wise words to think about on your daily journey.

We are all a work in process. I say this over and over again to myself. “I’m a work in progress.” We fall down and make mistakes. But resolve to get back up and make the adjustments needed.

Be aware that some situations are out of your control. How you handle it, is in your control. Learn through prayer and meditation, awakening to consciousness and have faith to trust the answers.

“God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change. (the peace of mind) The courage to change the things I can. And the wisdom to know the difference.” What a great prayer and daily mantra. Allow it to resonate in your soul as you grow and learn in your life recovery.

This will enable you to live the life you love and love the life you live (in recovery)

Blessings

The Elf Within Myself

The Elf Within Myself

Since we are wrapped up in the holiday season, I felt it fitting to use a fun symbol to compare connection to our higher self, spirit and the glistening wonderment of what we strive to awaken within ourselves. The elf on a shelf that is deep within myself.

Let’s look at why the elf is used. Mystically, the elf is often associated with nature and the unseen world. The pixies are said to dance in the moonlight from the musical sounds heard in the darkness. The notes and cords are played by the crickets and the frogs.

The elf is also associated with magical powers and supernatural beauty. I love the way beauty is described. Adding supernatural to describe beauty. Not just natural beauty but supernatural beauty. So beautiful that it is unimaginable. Beauty that brings a tear to your eyes because of the wonderment they see. A beauty that literally takes your breath away. So unbelievably beautiful that you can’t even put it into words. So beautiful that it makes you speechless. I believe this is how the spirit world will be. Beyond words like calming, peaceful, beautiful, understanding, compassionate, loving, energetic, these are a few descriptive words but, they are not enen descriptive enough. Just the thought of experiencing supernatural beauty excites me. Not only will we be given the ability to see the beauty, but we will be shown a new understanding all of our lifetime and beyond. The elf sees it all. It is a kept secret, until the appropriate time.

Being a small creature, “child friendly or appearing to children” They illustrate that we, as adults, can feel confused, lonely, trying to find our place just as we did when we were children. A connection or a reconnection with our inner child. Maybe the one you need to nurture, forgive or unleash. Do you adult too much? What do you feel when you see an elf or Santa or the magical winter wonderland? Do you revert back to a giggly, excited child, ready to grab a sled or jump in a sleigh with a beautiful horse pulling you through the glistening snow? I get so peacefully excited at the thoughts of all these things.

The message behind the elf is to promote kindness, staying positive and upbeat, valuing and appreciating others. The elf on the shelf pops up in different areas of your home in order to report back to Santa on your behavior. But the big message is that it is never too late to be removed from the naughty list. What a great way to instill in our children that we can all change. You can always make adjustments where needed to right the wrong. You can always start over, learn what to do and what not to do.

If you watched the movie “Elf”, Buddy talks about the Elf code.

Here is the code:

Treat every day like Christmas

There is room for everyone on the nice list.

The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.

In this code you are bringing into your awareness that every day is magical, there is good in all of us and raise your vibration. Think in positive ways, help those in need, and share your love with others. The morals of the elf are to walk into the knowing that your acts and choices can impact many lives you connect with every day. To give yourself permission to not be afraid to be yourself. To not take others for granted and above all spread love and connection. Is your inner elf hidden or are you in full elf armor?

I read that the word elf is self without the “s”. The “S” means separate from spirit, separation from peace. The elf in us can bring us back to the point of reconnection to our higher self, the magical knowledge within.

The elf theory is one of spiritual growth to bring reignite love, fun and adventure. Have you disconnected with your inner elf? Why is it such a tug of war for everyday people in choosing to help or hinder others? The elf can also be associated with ego. The good elf on one shoulder and bad elf on the on the other shoulder, the one with selfish ideas.

The cool thing to remember is there is always room on the nice list. The elves are constantly working, building toys or as the Keebler elves; always making cookies. We are all a work in progress. We never stop learning.

Let your inner elf out, be magical, see the supernatural beauty in your life, build lasting relationships, be kind, have fun and spread joy for all to hear.

Have a blessed holiday season,

Stacey
