Spiritual Journey, Consciousness, Spiritual Path and Higher Self
Let’s talk about spiritual path, spiritual journey, consciousness, spiritual journey and the higher self. Today, I’d like to break it down. Here’s the truth, in my opinion. All of these things are all within each and every one of us. It is a reflection of how you live, have lived and have learned that brought you to this very moment in your life. It is when you reflect and take notice of your day-to-day energetic feelings. The ability of tuning into yourself in order to guide yourself into becoming aware of the blessings around you, for you, and those meant to share.
Consciousness is that awareness. Feeling and believing there is more than this earthly life that we inhabit. It is when our understanding and awareness is elevated beyond the physical and ego-driven aspect of our mortal existence. Sensing connection to something greater than ourselves. Having the ability to identify the possibility of moving beyond the physical body. Embracing a larger perspective of seeing beyond the individual circumstance connecting to find balance. This is what I consider mindfulness. You are paying closer attention of what or who helps you discover the answers you need. Whether it be a situation you are facing or a new purpose you are feeling.
I believe there is a stigma placed around the words spiritual path, journey, consciousness and higher self because the meanings can be so vast and confuse the actual process. In reality, we are all mindful of something every day. There are things we pay close attention to in order to make the correct or automatic responses needed. Let’s take driving a car. You are present to all things without judgement. You know how the car feels where you steer it. If suddenly a new shimmy happens, you know it. If you see a turn signal you know how to respond to the distance you are traveling and the speed. You know how the brake and gas pedal feel under your feet. You feel, sense, and know what to do.
Let’s take a moment right now and be present. What do you feel and sense around you? For me, in this moment, I feel a slight breeze from a ceiling fan. I sense a fly buzzing around. I sense the urgency of typing the right words of a better understanding. I feel and hear the clicking of my nails on the keys. Ok, now reflection. What is the back story of what I am aware of. What are the beliefs, patterns and motivation. This usually has a story behind it. My belief is that someone needs to read these words in order to know they have the ability to grow. This is also my motivation in helping to heal the world one person at a time. The patten is every Tuesday I do a live, sharing my energy and understanding, so that you know that you can pave a way to live a life you love. The story behind this has been told by me many times, so I won’t bore you with all the details. But in short, before I trusted the path, I literally felt as though I was losing my mind. My “normal” thought pattern had changed to one that I never believed in before. I was anxious and depressed and hiding what I was experiencing from my family. Until I was told by a Medium all the things I was experiencing and to open up to spirit. I had no idea what that really meant, but I had a long conversation with Creator and was told to trust what came. I realized, I was not alone, nor was I going crazy. After healing through things from the past I felt better in my own skin than I had ever felt. This was my “awakening”. Although, I was always taught to trust the path of God, I never felt worthy. Forgiving the things of the past, getting quiet, and journaling, with other exercises, was when I was truly able to move forward to trust where I was headed. I now have a closer relationship with God, Spirit, and the Angels and know that I was never alone.
When asked what’s it like to live a spiritual path, it is simply, being aware of how you are living, thinking, feeling and sharing. Knowing and connecting to the quietness and being very aware of what shows up and who shows up. There are those who will say “I live an extremely spiritual life”, to me they just brought in their ego and now I just brought in judgement. I tell you this because we are all spiritual but living a human life. We learn, grow and expand in different ways. We release what we become, aware of not being for our highest good. We strive to be the best human possible. (in most cases)
Billy Coran said, “I think a spiritual journey is not so much a journey of discovery. It’s a journey of recovery. It’s a journey of uncovering your own inner nature. It’s already there.”
I’d like you to remember a time when you were so excited about a situation that you solved and how it made you feel. That is all part of the journey. The answers are inside of you if only you trust the directional answer. Think about an idea that you’ve wanted to achieve, the thought you put into the plan. Maybe a course you took to gain the knowledge needed. This is all part of the path. Go back to a thought or a prayer that you could visualize the outcome in your mind and then it happened in a very similar way. That is your higher-self showing you the way. Becoming aware of an idea or a “consciousness” that just dropped into your mind. That is consciousness.
Your spiritual journey does not have to be mapped out or an afterthought. (that is the human ego stepping in) It is a feeling that just feels right at the time that can be subject to change as you grow and learn. It is the way we flow, vibe, and feel. Awakening new ideas to the circumstances given that pull at you and you know you need to place action behind the idea in order to achieve it. It stays stuck in your mind and body until you do something about it. It is where your innermost passion that you cannot deny feeling drawn no matter how hard you try. It continues to tap you on your shoulder.
Marianne Williams said, “The spiritual journey is the unlearning of fear and prejudices and the acceptance of love into our hearts. Love is the essential reality to our purpose on earth. To be consciously aware of it, to experience love in ourselves and to others, is the meaning of life.”
When you overthink it because of fear, you create barriers. When you become aware and mindful, then the barriers either no longer matter, or they disappear. Do not allow the “woo woo” words to confuse your passion. Feel into them, be aware of how they feel, how you see them, what they mean to you and decide how to ride the wave of them. That is the awakening. It is a better loving, understanding of you. It’s always been inside of you waiting for your love and trust in order to blossom.
Your spiritual path is calling you to live the life you love and love the life you live.
